If you’ve been reading my blog for very long, you’d know I’m not impressed with Microsoft, but check out this ad for their brand new Microsoft Surface!
When I bought Windows 7… and Office 2010… and Outlook… twice (since they only let you use it on one PC and one Laptop), I was greatly disappointed. After all, we have four PCs and three Laptops. Not realizing the restrictions, we installed the software on my husband’s computer first. Then I had to buy another copy. And, of course, I had to buy Outlook separately because it wouldn’t work with the previous version. Not happy with Microsoft but what choice do I have since “I’m a PC” but…
This Microsoft Surface may change my mind about them! I mean… watch the video!

I have researched a bit about Microsoft Surface and so far I see a lot of good things about it… quad-core processor, 2GB ram, 10.6-inch display and it weights only 1.5 pounds, however $500 is quite a lot.
Maybe wait few weeks until the price goes down?

The Microsoft Surface looks pretty impressive but I’m afraid they will forever be followers and not leader in the tablet market with Apple being so heavily entrenched in the industry lead. All things considered though, I wouldn’t mid giving it a try but $500 is a bit much.
I’ve been researching the Surface lately, as well, and it does really have a lot of great features! Many writers need to have a keyboard in order to work efficiently, and therefore steer clear of tablets. The keyboard you can get for the Surface is still a touch-screen, though, and not a “click” keyboard. However, you do have to actually tap the “keys” rather than just touching them so it’s supposed to feel more like typing on a regular keyboard. Great commercial.

I am really impressed with this – Premium design, portability of a tablet, fully functioning desktop OS, compatibility with existing Microsoft software and keyboard options (all which are really appealing, to me at least). Packed full of functionality, could be the first successful hybrid (tablet/ultrabook).
The microsoft surface tablet is good and having some additional features there is no doubt about this.But i dare if it will be a competitive one in the market because Google Nexus is something which is available in the market with a very cheap rate.

This tablet will definatly rival the Ipad. Bill Gates even said that the new Surface is amazing and coming from a former Microsoft CEO that’s pretty powerful stuff.
The surface tablets are out now. Users can pre-order them now. I am so excited to get my hands on it. The ad posted above my Microsoft is good enough for me to make my mind about the product.
the advert is cool but I am not impressed with the new windows 8, there is a lot of negative reviews regarding the ease of use of the new system compared to windows 7 from an advanced user point of view. menus are hidden and you have to go deeper into the system to make changes that you could make in the control panel etc
It is interesting but it is not clear what audience it is designed, the market is already in use and will not be simple.

That looks pretty interesting. You never know if it works for you until you actually try to use it. Regardless, it’s a pretty high-tech toy.

I agree. I´m really not a fan of Microsoft, but nowadays it is the most used system..at least at homes, government institutions, etc..

Yes I personally will wait until the price goes down a bit after the hype has died down – but does look a pretty awesome product!
My wife has a laptop (Dell..don’t get me started) it needs a new hard drive…I found one cheap on Amazon…but then this commercial came out…now she is thinking that maybe we should forget the hard drive. I have to say it does look VERY interesting! Thanks for the info might just have to put it on MY Christmas list too!
