There were other people I invited to the 30-Day Blog Challenge that didn’t quite make it, primarily because of the limited amount of time they had. If that was your case, dear reader (and not just Loral’s, Trish’s, Debbie’s and Dawn’s – poke) I invite you to join us for the final 7 days. Jeanette Cates is hosting a 7-Day Blogging Challenge.
Those in this challenge often remark (and post) about how surprised they are by the plethora of benefits get by taking part. And those of us in the challenge as a second go-round obviously think it’s one of the greatest things since virtual sliced bread.
It’s not just that we’re blogging daily (or almost daily – as long as we write 30 posts in 30 days). It’s also that we’re visiting other blogs, getting to know new people, learning new things, gaining a greater perspective, commenting, supporting, encouraging and exchanging ideas with each other. We’re building online friendships and making connections that will outlast the challenge!
Right Blog30 Gang!?! We love it!
Blogging is supposed to be interactive, which is why we like comments. The blogger only starts a conversation. Commenters make it a much greater post. It’s their input that makes it all worthwhile. With this challenge, and the 246 bloggers involved, it can be a time consuming task to make the rounds. However if you find your core group, and then visit a couple of new blogs daily (or so) you’ll soon find that it works out for everyone. You’ll even find new bloggers that fit well within your core group and the expansion accommodates itself nicely.
Support your “fellow” bloggers! Click those #blog30 links on Twitter! Get those fingers typing posts and comments. It’s give and take. Offer support and get support. Rah, rah!
If you’re in the current blog challenge, offer encouragement for others to join in, if not this full 30-day challenge, at least for the 7-Day Challenge coming up.
If you’ll be joining the 7-Day Challenge, get on over to Jeanette Cates and sign up! You can even get a head start by writing posts now and saving them until it starts. If you have any questions about the challenge, let me know in the comments below. I’m happy to answer. Or, just let us know you’ll be joining by posting a little bit about yourself and a link to your blog.
If you are in this challenge but have yet to feel the benefits, it might be because you’re not participating fully. Start making your rounds, leave comments, retweet, you’ll get noticed and appreciated!
Happy Blogging!

Hey! Are you picking on me? Okay, okay. I’ll try the mini 7 challenge. You convinced me.
I haven’t posted to my blog in a while but I have been wanting to get back into it, so this should give me a good start. I’ll sign up this weekend. Go ahead a “poke” me again if I don’t.

Yeah! I gotcha. It’s about time you stopped by and left a comment, dear!
I’m sure you’ll love the short challenge and whet your appetite for more. Then maybe you’ll dive into a full 30-Day Challenge (when it comes around again).
Looking forward to reading your blog.
When I first started the 30 Day Blog Challenge, I actually considered also blogging on my personal site at the same time -glad I let that thought pass. However, the 7 day might just be good timing.
I have loved this and gotten so much value out of it, even some ideas for my personal blog.
Thanks for the reminder and ‘challenge’ to join…

Hi Sally,
Now that’s a great idea! Enter a second blog in the mini-challenge. Love it.
I had considered briefly entering two in the 30-Day as well. Very short life span to that thought. This is my second challenge and having that experience, I knew better. Can’t believe it even crossed my mind. LOL.
But the mini-challenge is a different story. Thanks for bringing it up!
