Hi Deb, I’ve seen some cool error pages but I can’t remember where. I think this is a great idea. I’ve wanted to do something with my 404 page but didn’t know how. Thanks for sharing the simple ways to accomplish it. I searched for answers some time back but didn’t understand how to do it. I appreciate how you explain things. I’m going to use the plugin since I’m more comfortable with that than messing with my theme. Thanks!

I agree with you. It would be nice to see something more personal once you accidentally get in a 404 page.

You’ve stoked my creativity. Can’t wait to try it. By the way, when I first clicked on the link to your site, I saw the 404 message come up and thought you weren’t blogging any longer. Then I started reading and was relieved to see what the post was all about.

This is a really fun way of looking at something that can be a serious problem for a site. It’s hard enough to attract people to your site, but not many of them will come back after they hit 404
